Problem with heat/AC The facilities at this hotel were lovely, deserving 5 stars. However, they seem to have a serious problem with regulating their heat and air conditioning. We were sweltering in our room. I called service and they sent someone to open the window. That helped until that night when road repair noises kept us up several hours. It repeated again the next night, and I called service. They closed the window, and offered a new room. In the morning, we said we would accept the new room, and moved our belongings. The new room was beautiful, actually a one-bedroom suite on a different side of the building. Wouldn''t you know, the road repair crew moved their activity to the side of the hotel where our new room was. If the AC worked properly, and the window did not need to be open, there would be no problem. The staff, who tried to be helpful, said there was nothing they could do as it was a Beijing regulation that there could be no AC after October 1. I had read reports from people who had had a similar problem in the spring, so it does seem to be a problem in the heat/AC of the hotel.
